It’s not every day that accountants, grant writers, and IT technicians get to help in wildfire-fighting efforts, but at the Oregon Department of Forestry, it’s all hands on deck.
About a dozen forestry employees from different departments practiced loading single-engine air tankers with fire-retardant gel Thursday at Salem’s McNary Field — an annual training to prepare for battling Northwest Oregon wildfires. Read more at the Statesman Register
